Most people who play volleyball through Lineup arrive on their own. You take one open seat in a game and the rest of the roster fills around you. You do not need a partner, a side or a regular group, and you are not asked to bring anyone.

Matched to your level, not to whoever turned up

Lineup gives you a level from 0 to 7, to one decimal, specifically for volleyball. It is worked out from the results of the games you play rather than from how you rate yourself, and it moves every time you play. Each volleyball game publishes a level range, so before you join you already know the people on the other side are close to your standard.

Your volleyball level is separate from your level in every other sport. Being strong at one sport tells nobody how you play another, so the numbers are kept apart.

Where and how volleyball runs

Games are played as indoor and beach, at indoor halls and beach courts around Dubai. Every listing shows the venue, the start time, the format, the entry cost and the level range before you commit to anything.

Beach games run through the cooler months and indoor games run year round.

Court and pitch bookings

Lineup does not book venues for you. What it does do is let players pass bookings between each other: if someone has booked a court or a pitch and cannot use it, they list the slot and another player takes it over. Nothing is wasted and nobody sits out.
