Most people who play tennis through Lineup arrive on their own. You take one open seat in a game and the rest of the roster fills around you. You do not need a partner, a side or a regular group, and you are not asked to bring anyone.
Matched to your level, not to whoever turned up
Lineup gives you a level from 0 to 7, to one decimal, specifically for tennis. It is worked out from the results of the games you play rather than from how you rate yourself, and it moves every time you play. Each tennis game publishes a level range, so before you join you already know the people on the other side are close to your standard.
Your tennis level is separate from your level in every other sport. Being strong at one sport tells nobody how you play another, so the numbers are kept apart.
Where and how tennis runs
Games are played as singles and doubles, at courts across Dubai. Every listing shows the venue, the start time, the format, the entry cost and the level range before you commit to anything.
A level range on every match means you are not stuck playing someone two divisions above or below you.
Court and pitch bookings
Lineup does not book venues for you. What it does do is let players pass bookings between each other: if someone has booked a court or a pitch and cannot use it, they list the slot and another player takes it over. Nothing is wasted and nobody sits out.
