How Lineup works in Dubai

Sport in Dubai, at your own standard

Lineup is where people in Dubai find games they can actually compete in. Every player carries a level from 0 to 7 in each sport they play, worked out from real results rather than self-assessment. When you join a game, the people on the other side of the net are within a range of you, so the match is worth playing for everyone in it.

Games run across the city — Al Quoz, Mirdif, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Marina, Dubai Sports World and other venues — and you can join one on your own. Most people who start on Lineup arrive without a team.

Eight sports, one profile

You will have a different level in each of them, because being a strong footballer tells nobody how you play padel:

How it works

Find players near you

Browse games happening in Dubai this week. Each one shows the venue, the time, the format and the level range it is open to. If your number sits inside that range, the seat is yours.

Your level moves with your results

Win and it rises, lose and it falls, and the size of the move depends on the game. A close three-setter barely shifts it. A heavy defeat moves it more. Nobody has to guess where they stand.

Buy and sell court slots

Booked a court and cannot make it? List the slot and someone who wants to play that night takes it off you. Nothing is wasted and nobody sits out.

Run your community

Community organisers can list their group on Lineup, set their own prices, sell multi-game packages and keep every game, roster and payment in one place.

Common questions

Do I need a team to play?

No. Lineup exists so individual players can find each other. You join a game on your own and the roster fills around you. Most people who start on Lineup arrive without a group.

How is my level worked out?

It is calculated from the results of the games you play. Every result moves it, and the size of the move reflects the margin — a close three-setter barely shifts it, a heavy defeat moves it more. It is not set by hand and you do not rate yourself.

Why do I have more than one level?

Because being strong at football tells nobody how you play padel. You carry a separate level, from 0 to 7 to one decimal, in each of the eight sports.

Which sports can I play?

Padel, football, tennis, cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball and pickleball.

Where are the games?

Across Dubai, including Al Quoz, Mirdif, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Marina and Dubai Sports World. Every game listing shows its venue and time before you join.

How do I know a game is right for me?

Each game publishes a level range. If your number sits inside that range, the game is open to you and the other players will be near your standard.

Can Lineup book a venue for me?

Lineup does not book venues on your behalf. What it does do is let players buy and sell court slots: if someone has booked a court and cannot use it, they can list it and you can take it over.

I booked a court and cannot make it. What can I do?

List it as a court slot. Another player buys it from you, so you are not out of pocket and the court still gets used.

What happens if I cancel a game I joined?

Cancellation and refund terms are set out in the Terms and Conditions, and the app shows the applicable window before you confirm a booking.

Can I run my own community on Lineup?

Yes. Organisers can list their community, create games, set their own prices, sell multi-game packages to their members, run a group chat, and see who has paid for each game in one place.

Are my statistics recorded automatically?

Yes. Results feed your level and your record without anyone updating them by hand.

What if a result was recorded incorrectly?

Email admin@lineup.ae with the game details and it will be corrected.
