Everything Lineup does
Lineup is a sports app for Dubai. It helps individual players find games they can compete in, lets people buy and sell court bookings, and gives community organisers the tools to run their groups. Here is the full picture.
Finding a game when you don't have a team
Join as one person
You do not need a team, a partner or a group. Every game shows how many seats are open and you take one of them. The roster fills around you with other players in the same level range.
Games near you in Dubai
Browse open games by sport, by area and by day. Each listing shows the venue, the start time, the format, the entry cost and the level range it accepts before you commit to anything.
Ask to join, or be invited
Some games are open to anyone in range. Others are request-based, so the host approves who plays. You can also be invited directly by a host or another player.
Women's-only and men's-only games
Hosts can restrict a game by gender, and the restriction is enforced when a seat is claimed rather than being a label on the listing.
Your level, in every sport
A number from 0 to 7 in each sport
Padel, football, tennis, cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball and pickleball each carry their own level, to one decimal. Being a strong footballer says nothing about how you play padel, so the numbers are kept separate.
Worked out from results, not self-rating
Your level moves with every game you play. The size of the move reflects the margin — a close three-setter barely shifts it, a heavy defeat moves it further. Nobody sets it by hand.
Reliability
Alongside the level sits a measure of how confident the system is in it. The more you play, the more settled your number becomes.
Level progression and statistics
Your profile keeps a full record — games played, wins, losses, win rate, current streak, and a graph of how your level has moved over time in each sport.
A shareable level card
Each sport produces a card showing your current level that you can share outside the app.
Court slots — buying and selling bookings
Sell a booking you cannot use
If you have booked a court and your plans change, list the slot. Another player buys it from you, so the court is used and you are not out of pocket.
Buy a slot for tonight
Browse court slots other players have listed, filtered by sport, area and date. Useful when venues are fully booked.
Manage your listings
Every slot you list has a state — active, unlisted, sold or ended — and you can relist, unlist or remove it at any time.
Communities and hosting
List your community
Organisers can put their group on Lineup, publish their games, and let players find them instead of relying on word of mouth.
Open or approval-based membership
Communities can accept anyone or require the host to approve each join request. Hosts can remove members and transfer ownership of the community.
Set your own prices and sell packages
Hosts set the price of their own games and can sell multi-game packages. Members buy them in the app and the balance is used automatically as they play.
See who has paid
The host dashboard shows payments per game, what is due, what has been collected and what is still outstanding.
Community group chat
Every community has its own chat, and every game has a chat for the people playing in it.
Community ratings
Players can rate the communities they play with, so newcomers can see which groups are well run.
Payments, wallet and refunds
Card payments
Games, packages and court slots are paid for by card in the app.
Credit balance
Refunds, package balances and community credits sit in a wallet inside the app and are used automatically against future games.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancelling a seat within the published window returns your payment. The applicable window is shown before you confirm.
Disputes
If something goes wrong with a payment or a game, you can open a dispute and talk to the Lineup team directly in the app.
Staying in the loop
Notifications that matter
You are told when a game you joined is confirmed, edited or cancelled, when a request is answered, when a seat opens, when a slot you were watching changes, and when a payment goes through.
Push notifications
Alerts reach you on your phone whether or not the app is open, and you can turn them off.
Saved searches
Tell Lineup what you are looking for — a sport, an area — and you will be told when a matching game appears.
Follow other players
Follow the people you enjoy playing with and see when they are playing.
Safety and control
Report a player or a problem
Any player or game can be reported from inside the app, and reports reach the Lineup team.
Delete your account
You can permanently delete your account and your data from inside the app at any time.
Sign in without a password
Accounts are created with Google, Apple or your phone number. There is no password to lose.
Where Lineup works
Dubai and the wider UAE. Games run at venues across the city including Al Quoz, Mirdif, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Marina and Dubai Sports World. Lineup is operated by Techauthors FZ LLC from In5 Tech, Dubai Internet City.
What Lineup does not do
Lineup does not book venues on your behalf and is not a venue operator. What it does is connect players to games, and let players pass court bookings between each other. Levels are an estimate used for matchmaking, not an official ranking.
